You may have seen news bits this week from former President Sarkozy’s last ever French Cabinet meeting, in which he gets a bit teary-eyed during his farewell address. His departure from front line EU politics is not the only topic that has evoked strong emotions from Sarkozy. His remarks on having a deep fondness for coffee ice cream and cream puffs have sparked loads of political jokes, Twitter hash tags, and hilarious re-tweets. The former president has admitted to buying up to 100g of cream puffs on mornings when his cup of coffee is feeling especially lonely and devoid of creamy sugariness.
