Knowing More About the Ingredients in Your Recipes

The more we know, the easier it is to make good decisions. But sometimes we fall victim to information overload and it’s difficult to pick out the stuff that matters.

Lately, it seems like the “too much information, not enough knowledge” issue holds for many things pertaining to diet and allergies, and that can be scary for those of us dealing with gluten and dairy allergies, or those of us who adhere to a plant-based diet.
This week, Foodily has introduced an improved and extended version of the nutrition bubbles that are featured on each recipe card. The nutrition bubbles highlight the most critical diet and nutrition characteristics of a recipe in a visually pleasing way, helping you see immediately if a recipe is right for you.
Extending the Power of our Search
Our nutrition bubbles are an extension of our already powerful search capabilities. When you add the terms vegetarian, gluten free, or other diet and nutrition-specific terms, you get some awesome, accurate results. The nutrition bubbles appearing on the recipe cards and the recipe leaf pages confirm when a recipe fits your dietary needs, so you don’t have to search with specific terms all the time!
Diet At a Glance
In one glance, you can see if a recipe is Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Low Carb, Low Fat, or high in fiber. Take a look at these searches below; it’s interesting to see how nutritionally diverse the recipes are in one given set of results.
We would love to hear your feedback on our new feature. Do our nutrition bubbles help you feel confident about the recipes you’re choosing?
Food, we love you.
