Honey & Jam and Everything Baked.

Posted on 18th Nov, 2011 by Mariana Abdala

Fall is when bakers spend the most time in the kitchen, exploring and marrying the season’s most prevalent spices, fruits, and root vegetables to create magnificent pies, breads, and cakes.
While watching the leaves turn colors, while reveling in apples, pears, and pumpkins, Hannah Queen collects delightful recipes and photos in her blog, Honey & Jam. The blog captures the essence of all goodies baked, but Hannah didn’t fail to throw in recipes for things like breakfast dishes, soups, and applesauce.

To make something seasonal out of a tried and tested chocolate cake recipe, Hannah took fresh beautiful pears and, as she put it, “turned it into something new.”

Just wondering if there is a difference between refined and unrefined avocado oil? I know you mentioned peanut oil, but I think that peanut oil has to be refined in order to sustain high heat cooking. Is it the same with avocado oil?
